Fabulous place to see the rays. We didn’t do enough research on the tides so it was high tide which made it a bit tricky to get far enough in. Definitely needed swimsuits to get close enough. Or live with wet shorts. We will come back in a low tide to visit. Parking is pretty tight but we managed a spot. Quite a few people around 11 am but didn’t deter from experience. Would definitely recommend a trip here.
Holiday Haven Bendalong Point really is the Rolls Royce of camping and holiday parks to stay at. I highly highly recommend it. A week is just too short with so much to do and relaxing to be had. Stingray Bay, Washerwomans Beach, stunning (swimmable) rockpools. Letting the current float you down to the ocean at Lake Conjola is my favourite. And it is wildlife (particularly kangaroos) galore at the park. Kids love it. Adults love it. Can't wait to go back.
Bendalong Point is such a beautiful, relaxing spot. The beaches are long and quiet, perfect for an easy walk down toward Lake Conjola, and the views from the headland are amazing. Loved watching stingrays near the boat ramp and taking in the peaceful atmosphere. A great place for a slow, scenic day on the coast.
Visited around 12:30–1pm in late October and it was an amazing experience! The rays were just chilling in the shallows, gliding right around us so calmly. Such a surreal, peaceful moment…. definitely worth a stop!
Got here at around 9:30! Stingrays were still here when we left at around 10:15! They sell baits to feed at the caravan reception just 5 mins walk up the stairs and further, small bag for $10! There were also wild kangaroos nearby, all pretty chill imo. Worth coming :)
