Dee Beach is a beach in Bendalong. We don't yet have enough signals to confirm whether dogs are allowed.
Shoalhaven City Council's Dog Off-Leash Guide states: "Dogs in the Shoalhaven are required to be 'on leash'" unless in a designated off-leash area or dog-prohibited area. This venue is not named in Shoalhaven's off-leash list or prohibited list under D23/519887 (MIN23.740, December 2023), so the council-wide default on-leash rule applies. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person at all times under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. (Source: Shoalhaven City Council, MIN23.740 / D23/519887.)
This beach offers a tranquil atmosphere and ample parking. Conveniently located, it's a short drive to nearby shops for refreshments and dining options.
Wonderful beach, small and secluded with low swell on most days. Great for open-water swimming, and occasionally also for surfing.
What a hidden gem... down the road less travelled! The access is via stairs. Great for surfers or stand up paddle (SUP) boarders.
Smaller beach, lovely sand and not so crowded. Resonably steep access on well-built wooden stairs. Peaceful, although as elsewhere in Conjola National Park, beware falling dead tree branches from the fires. One heavy enough to knock me out (while on the stairs) came down about 3 metres away. Just below me were 3 adults and a baby climbing up; we were all lucky. The time between the 'crack!' when the branch separates and it hitting the ground - or you - is a second or two; little time to take evasive action.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
