The Dog Exercise Area at Brunswick Heads Main Beach is a designated off-leash zone in the intertidal area, stretching 400 metres south from the surf club. Dogs of all sizes use the space, and the breakwall provides some shelter. Dogs must stay in the intertidal zone — off the dunes and rehabilitation areas. Toilets and parking are nearby.
Off-leash dog beach (intertidal zone only). Dogs are permitted off-leash within the intertidal zone from 20 metres south of the Brunswick Heads Surf Life Saving Club, extending 400 metres south to the Tyagarah Nature Reserve boundary. Access is from adjacent to the surf club only. Dogs must be kept off the dunes and dune rehabilitation areas, and under effective control at all times. Love this long beach great for doggies exercise. Nice and clean water and fine sand. We take a regular trip at least one a month from the Gold Coast.
Not very special. Just an open beach with very expensive parking. Won’t go again.
A great beach for exercising dogs in a very busy dog area and do a big walk for the humans as well.
Such fun for dogs of all sizes. Watch for blue bottles sometimes washed in. And walk walk walk. The right direction
Took my wife for a walk here... SHE LOVED IT! Didn't even need a leash! Lol
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
