Hotel Brunswick feels a bit like a fever dream—one of those strange, sun-soaked ones that doesn’t make much sense at the time, but lingers warmly when you think back on it. We arrived as a rootsy reggae-fusion band was sound-checking. Bass lines drifting, drums finding their feet, the whole place gently vibrating like it was waking up. Around us, the young, brown and beautiful aggregate in the humidity, seeking shade, and orbiting cool drinks and conversations in a loose, coastal choreography. Somehow, in the middle of all that, we ordered the broccoli salad. And somehow, it was genuinely excellent. Fresh, balanced, unexpectedly thoughtful. The kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and reassess your assumptions. It paired beautifully with blue water and too much sun. Nothing here is polished. Nothing needs to be. It’s loud, soft, chaotic, calm—often at the same time. Five stars. For atmosphere, surprise vegetables, and a place that feels messy in the moment but lovely in the remembering.

Go here and soak it right up ya guts. Bloody tip top pub in the perfect setting right next to the Brunswick River. The beer is ice cold and extensive in choice, the grub is absolutely delicious, and the effort to put on and support the best local and international music acts is 2nd to none in the Northern rivers. A recent addition is a very fancy pokies room, and a bottle shop filled with a solid selection of neck oil. No review of the rooms as I haven't stayed, however if kept with the theme and diligence as seen with the rest of the joint, I'd imagine they're not bad at all. 9/10. Cheers 🍻

The Brunswick Hotel was an absolute vibe. Even though it was raining, the atmosphere was unreal — everyone was in such a good mood and the live band just lifted the whole place. We grabbed dinner and it was delicious, with really reasonable prices. The spicy mango margarita deserves a special mention — incredibly hot, but so yummy and totally worth it. Great music, great food, great energy. Loved it and would 100% go back.

Great laid back pub with NNSW feels. Casual, with music playing on a Saturday, live band to start after I was leaving. Great for lone drinkers, as I am at times. With bar service through the QR code to your table. Only ordered chips, and the bowl was big enough for two. Great vibe and pretty chill staff. #chompchompchomp8

My friend and I, along with his two children, decided to have a spontaneous night out at the lovely Brunswick Hotel last night. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We found the children’s options on the menu disappointing, as the range felt quite limited. Since it was ‘Steak Night’, the adults ordered the 'sirloin steak'. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with table numbers and my meal was accidentally given to someone else, so I ended up waiting quite a while. In the past, the payment system seemed to be simpler, purchase food at the kitchen purchase drinks at the bar...? By the time my meal arrived, everyone else had already nearly finished. When the steak did come out, it was the toughest 'sirloin' I’ve ever been served, so full of sinew that I could barely chew it! My friend also commented that his was very tough as well. We’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere at the Brunswick Hotel, and we appreciate the friendly staff, but we were disappointed with the meals on this occasion. We hope this feedback is helpful, as it’s a venue we’ve enjoyed in the past and would love to enjoy again.
