Scarborough Beach is a dog-friendly beach. You'll find toilets nearby, while Scarborough Wombara Scenic Lookout is around 850 metres away if your dog still has energy to burn after a swim. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.

Dog rules

On-leash only, at restricted times. In summer (September school holidays to Anzac Day): before 9am and after 6pm. In winter (the rest of the year): before 9am and after 4pm. Dogs are prohibited at all other times. Dogs are not permitted on rock platforms or within 100 metres of a lifeguard patrol zone.

Small to medium sized waves. Beautiful beach just like how my nan used to take me to. Quiet and less crowded. Had more families in the day. Toilets and change rooms available close to the beach. Outdoor shower buttons need a strong push to be activated.

Scarborough Beach ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥is a fantastic place to visit, especially if you’re bringing kids along! It’s such a family-friendly spot with a lot to offer. The beach has a dedicated team of lifeguards, which provides great peace of mind and ensures everyone feels safe while enjoying the water. The waves here are gentle, making it perfect for children to play in the water without worry. The crystal-clear water adds to the charm, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Whether you’re splashing in the water, building sandcastles, or just lounging on the beach, it’s a super comfortable and enjoyable spot for families. Scarborough Beach is an ideal destination for a day out with your kids. The combination of safety, clear waters, and a welcoming vibe makes it a must-visit. Highly recommended!
