Commemoration Park is a popular dog-friendly park in Ballina where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find BBQs nearby, while Shaws Bay Hotel is around 700 metres away for an easy post-walk drink.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at this park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act, dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas except designated off-leash zones. Ballina Shire Council has seven designated off-leash areas — visit council's website for locations.
Went here for the Sunday farmers market, very easy to walk to from caravan park with a sealed path all the way. Dog friendly, good fresh local produce, reasonable price for type of market. This Park is right on river and next to bridge. Walking path goes under bridge. A lot of people parked on opposite park area and walked over rather than parking over near market in park
Picturesque place on the river/inlet. Toilets available, 3-4 stalls. Small outdoor gym and play equipment. A lovely green space.

Water views, clean BBQs that are Council cleaned every morning and a workout area. A great family area as long as you keep the kids on the park side of the path.
This park hosts a market every Sunday. Pretty good produce, coffee, herbs, honey 🍯 avocados 🥑 and lots more.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
