Flying Egg
Flying Egg is a cafe in St Leonards. We don't yet have enough signals to confirm whether dogs are allowed. It's best to check with the venue before visiting with your dog. Just 50m away, Christie Street Reserve is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.

What people say
Always great coffee and amazing food. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the latte art is always on point - big shoutout to the lovely barista :) and the dishes are always perfect too - chef nails it.
A true local favourite. Flying Egg (and its sister cafe, Flying Hat) have both been our go-to cafes for a coffee, brunch, or lunch in the area. Located just to the left of the St Leonards Station (as you exit), Flying Egg is the more prominent of the two, and caters for the dine-in crowd. We love their pastas, omelette rice, and healthy bowl options. For coffee, they serve good and consistent barista coffee using beans from The Grounds, and are very quick for a morning takeaway. Always our choice of coffee for the morning rush and commute.
I come here for the soy chai latte it’s my favorite. The staff are consistently warm and friendly, which makes the whole place feel welcoming. Great coffee, great people, easy choice
Hit and miss. Lovely meals made in house. I had a carrot cake. It had 5 green carrot pieces in it. It looked like this product was supplied by a third party. The service was friendly but poor. One person ordered an extra hot skim flat white in a mug not a glass, so as not to burn her hands with the extra hot temp. She clarified 3 times. She was given a takeaway cup. I ordered a small hot chocolate, as I know they're nice at this place. It was served in a latte glass with no serviette, ie too hot to hold. I ordered a carrot muffin with frosting. The waitress asked if I would like it heated up. I said yes please. I said please also bring it out at the same as the meals. Two minutes later I had a cold muffin on the table. I didn't bother to try to correct it. I suspect all these order problems were due to putting the order into an ipad, and anything that didn't go in was promptly forgotten 🤷♀️ this was 9.45am on Sunday. The Cafe was almost full, however it didn't seem busy, as an excuse for the mistakes.
My favourite cafe in the neighborhood! I get my coffee from Flying Egg every morning before catching the train to work. Their staff are super efficient and friendly. Apart from coffee, the food here is also very tasty. My personal favs are their risotto, omelette rice, and healthy poke bowl.
