Punchbowl Park is a dog-friendly park in Punchbowl.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at Punchbowl Park, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.
The park has a playing field and an open area for fairs, functions etc. The playing field is reasonably clean and tidy, but the other areas are horrificly muddy, swampy and slippery to step in after a shower. The washrooms are not very clean. Finding a parking spot near the place is very tough.
Large park with soccer fields, cricket pitch, tennis courts, kids playground and outdoor gym equipment. Chance to see some local native birds, galahs and corellas are common.
Nice big fields for sports if that's your thing, and tennis courts. Good playground for the kids. Not even bushes so there's little bird life other than ibises, feral pigeons and a crow or too. A lot of garbage strewn around. Rubbish situation is disappointing to say the least.
Theres a cricket and football field in the park, theres goal pole for rugby. And there is small set of rides for kids. Good place to sit around and chill in close vicinity.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
