Dog rules

Dogs are welcome on-leash at Arthur Park, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.

It's ok. There's a path to walk, a basketball court, and a small children's playground. But, it isn't well kept, the playground equipment is quite limited and aged, and there's absolutely no shade.

Good for jogging but some people can not take a good care of this good facility, eventhough it has been renovated that took more than 3 months to finish it, they ruined the fences for maintenance of rotating chair (one of my kids new favourite's one to play). Thanks to the council that upgrading the playing ground and the basketball areas, keeps cleaning it and cut the grass for us to enjoy the park. Always keep doing the best for our country 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Why not replace the rotating chair instead of keep fixing the maintainance's fence and they ruined and you fixed it and they ruined again and again and you keep fixing it again and again???... there is no point to keep fixing the maintenance's fence, either you change with new ones or just remove it totally...

Great basketball court, nice upgrade. Helps kids stay out of trouble.

The bin was full and had a very nasty very strong smell. Grass is well maintained. Play equipment is very old and doesn't cater to all ages. The playground should definantly be renovated.

It's a nice Park, however is lacking some much needed love and care. The basketball rings are skewed, almost about to fall off and have no net. There is broken pieces of glass all over the concrete courts which is a great hazard to children and indeed adults. The play equipment isn't too bad but is starting to show some signs of age and may need updating shortly.
