Dog rules

Dogs are welcome on-leash at Salmon Reserve, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Public Park with no bins. Disappointing from Council

Did you know?? Salmon Reserve was so named to commemorate siblings Florence and Leonard Salmon who were both tragically killed during the Second World War? Florence, An Australian Army Nurse, was massacred in the Dutch East Indies in 1942; Leonard was killed with the sinking of the Hospital Ship "Centaur" off Caloundra in 1943. They both grew up in Gowrie Street, just around the corner from the park. Lest we Forget.
