What people say
Did you know?? Salmon Reserve was so named to commemorate siblings Florence and Leonard Salmon who were both tragically killed during the Second World War? Florence, An Australian Army Nurse, was massacred in the Dutch East Indies in 1942; Leonard was killed with the sinking of the Hospital Ship "Centaur" off Caloundra in 1943. They both grew up in Gowrie Street, just around the corner from the park. Lest we Forget.
