Don Moon Memorial Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Camden where dogs are welcome on lead. The Fat Cat Camden is also around 950 metres away for a post-walk coffee.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times in public places except in designated off-leash areas. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. The maximum number of dogs that may be under one person's effective control is four. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment, food preparation/consumption areas, public swimming pools, schools, kindergartens, sports grounds during organised activities, and wildlife protection areas. A beautiful yet to be updated park. Very minimalist. You got your bench, classic playground set and a variety of trees. Simple and perfect.
I visited Don's memorial for the first time since it was dedicated. Don was my next door neighbour up until his death. My family and I regarded him at the highest level. He was a fantastic teacher, tenis coach, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. RIP Don gone but never forgotten.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
