Camden Bike Track is a dog-friendly park in Camden with plenty of shade.
Dog rules
Dogs must be on a leash at all times in public places except in designated off-leash areas. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. The maximum number of dogs that may be under one person's effective control is four. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment, food preparation/consumption areas, public swimming pools, schools, kindergartens, sports grounds during organised activities, and wildlife protection areas. What people say
Has great potential, nice parks and play equipment for kids and also outdoor gym equipment as well, all located along the whole track. There are bathrooms, bubbles and also BBQ areas right along the track and the Nepean River. I went for a bike ride but was much shorter then I thought perfect for walking. Dog friendly as well, great path for dog walking. Be advised it is still heavily affected from recent floods, path is covered in mud, dirt and sand in some areas and some sections where covered in about a foot deep water. I would give it a good few weeks or month before going there. I will definitely be back next summer to take advantage of the BBQ areas.
Great paved bike and walking track clearly marked left and right for oncoming traffic. There are playgrounds , picnic tables and BBQ areas littered all around the Length of the track. Such a people and family oriented area, all nestled along the nepean River. Gorgeous scenery. Free parking. Wheelchair accessible parking and entry I recommend
Camden Bike Track is a very easy 7 km bike track. The track is well maintained and wide with a lane marked for both directions. There are plenty of bird life especially ducks, very mature eucalyptus trees scattered along the track. So there’s plenty of shade and it runs along the river. At one section there’s picnic tables and play equipment. It’s a lovely place to go for an easy walk with the family
What I like the most is this is a loop track so you're walking past people going the other way a lot. I like saying have a great day to people passing by. Adds something to the walk that most don't have. Cheers
