Royal Hotel Camden

We visited this venue on Sunday night and walked in at 8:50pm. We were advised that we still had 10 minutes to order drinks, as the bar closed at 9pm, while the venue itself remained open until 10pm. Based on that information, we proceeded to order. Unfortunately, the experience at the bar was appalling. The woman serving us was exceptionally rude and openly hostile. She appeared angry that we were ordering at all, stating that she had already cleaned the area. She was visibly irritated about having to get ice for the drinks and repeatedly gestured for us to hurry up while we were simply asking our group what they wanted, well within the time we had been told was acceptable to order. The entire interaction made us feel unwelcome and like an inconvenience for spending money at the venue during advertised service hours. If the objective of employing staff with this attitude is to discourage customers from returning, then this individual is perfectly suited for the role. Customer service like this reflects extremely poorly on the venue, and it’s disappointing to be treated this way when we were doing nothing wrong.

My team comprised of all women invited me to a bottomless brunch at this place, I didn't know what this was and that it was a one time fee ($70) for the entire time. Very happy with the entire experience, food was good to keep you at a medium fullness and the drinks were literally bottomless, the girls kept ordering us drinks and our server Chelsea deserves a pay raise, the amount of times she made sure what we had was enjoyable and sufficient was amazing. Atmosphere for a dude was great considering it was 99% women. My first bottomless brunch but definitely not my last. Thanks royal hotel Camden!

Bottomless brunch was so much fun!! we went to the taylor swift one and loved it!! The entertainment was on point, service was great, food and drinks were flowing and vibe was amazing!!! So well done and will be back for the next one!!

Was an extremely busy night with the cover band Bon Jovi playing. Bar service and table service was great considering they were so busy. Food was quite bland not enough seasoning on the salt and pepper squid and my daughters partner didn't rate the buffalo wings either. My daughter had been a few weeks prior and said the food was great. So I will go again but just hopefully not on a busy night.

The Royal Hotel Camden allows bookings for dinner for 5pm or 7:30pm, however, they don't serve main courses till 5:30pm. So do not book for 5pm for an early dinner. The main dining room is quite poorly maintained, including dirty chairs (the chair I had for my table had a cherry on it? After it had been busked from the last sitters?), the carpet flooring is dirty and worn, and the seats have noticeable damage. The pricing is medium to high in terms of expense comparative to quality. $24 for a chicken schnitzel is rather abhorrent for an unadorned schnitzel. I would not recommend. Staff however were friendly for all things considered.
