What people say
Exceeded my expectation and can easily recommend. It was a bit quiet on a Tuesday Morning outside but venue has a lot of seating both inside and outside (nice courtyard), inside is actually two storey which is good for different atmospheres. Coffee was really good, did take some time to come out. The cup size was probably too big but I'm not used to cafes having two sizes for mugs so it's more my mistake. The food was incredible and reasonably priced, portions are large and very filling. Service could have been better, not sure you can even get table water but staff were all still lovely and nothing else you could really fault. Very good breakfast spot
I had a very yummy eggs bene for a mid morning breakfast. Well cooked, soft poached eggs, wilted spinach, not raw as is common, and served on an English muffin, so easy to cut through unlike sourdough or other artisan breads. Good hollandaise sauce too. Nice hot coffee came out ahead of the meal which was good as service was a bit slow, half hour wait for the meal and it wasn't really too busy. But I'll be back.
Was an alright meal tasted okay, took a long time to come out all came out separately, was soggy, all items and ingredients in the meal weren’t listed on the menu. Also took a trip to woolworths because they didn’t have all the ingredients too cook our meals, which therefore made it take ages for our food to come out.
I visited this café recently and while the food itself was okay, it wasn’t quite as described on the menu – for example, the eggs Benedict was served on English muffins instead of the sourdough that was listed. The café wasn’t busy at the time, but service was slow, with meals and drinks coming out staggered and not all together. We also had to remind staff about a couple of items that had been ordered but hadn’t arrived. The furniture was quite worn and could do with replacing. On the positive side, the café is in a great little tucked-away spot, which makes it a nice find. With some improvements to service and attention to detail, it could be a much better experience.
The House of Art Camden is a great little cafe hidden away in Camden !! Great coffee & tasty Bacon & Egg Rolls and a delicious Chicken Caesar Salad. Plus a great selection of cakes and pastries if you are looking for something sweet to have with your coffee or tea. Based on the orders around us, the Butter Chicken is a very popular dish - will be sure to try next time !!
