Cowpasture Reserve is a popular dog-friendly park in Camden where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find toilets nearby, while Jally's is around 500 metres away for an easy post-walk coffee.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times in public places except in designated off-leash areas. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. The maximum number of dogs that may be under one person's effective control is four. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment, food preparation/consumption areas, public swimming pools, schools, kindergartens, sports grounds during organised activities, and wildlife protection areas. A pleasant walk along the river track that is sheltered and relatively flat. There are a few children's play areas and toilets evenly spread along the track. Also plenty of places in Camden for a coffee or meal.
We did our 150th parkrun here. Lots of participants. Lovely vollies. Great views along the river. Good wide path.
Came here for a softball tournament. Field and area were very well maintained. Credit to the team taking care of the softball diamonds. Great job, well done.
If you love rich nature, animals in their natural surroundings and nice people along the way then this is the place for you. Park in the car park off the main road and walk down the side of the baseball field till you get to a sweet little park. Awesome swings and no main road so less risk to the little ones who just need some space to be kids.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
