Gannons Park is one of the more versatile parks in the Georges River area. The off-leash section is the lower area near Pindari Road and Isaac Street — it's unfenced, so recall matters, but the space is generous with a mix of open grass and bush walking tracks that give dogs plenty to explore. The rest of the park has bike paths, walking paths, water ponds, and BBQ areas. Drinking water and waste bags are available, and there's parking nearby.

A big park, has unfenced dog off leash area. With my small dogs, I prefer using a 5mtr long leash and just walk in the bigger area of the park. Well maintained, nit over busy. Really good spot.

Located at corner Issac Street and Pindari Road, Peakhurst, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. Gannons Park is a fantastic park because it offers so much for both the sports enthusiasts and also the nature lovers and dog 🐕 lovers. In the top level, frequent sports ⚽️ 🏈 competitions are held, particularly on the weekends. There’s a shared walking/cycling path that covers the entire park and is very easy to use. There’s BBQ facilities along with tables available. The top level of the park caters mainly to the sports with several sporting fields and amenities available. This is a particularly popular park for competitions held each weekend for a variety of sports from cricket, football 🏉 and other sports. There’s toilet 🚻 facilities and change rooms but they have a lot to be desired. On the weekends when the competitions are held there’s a small canteen run by volunteers I believe. On the lower level of the park, this is very popular with dog 🐶 walkers because it is an off leash area. Also provided is water stations for both people and dogs. There’s pretty good parking 🅿️ available along Issac Street and Pindari Road. I think on weekends with the sports competition, the parking would fill up very fast. There’s also a children’s playground with the usual children’s playground equipment. The park is also very wheelchair 🦽 accessible with a wheelchair accessible entrance and car park. Overall, it’s a great community park I give it a thumbs up!! 👍👍👍

Beautiful park, large dog off leash area with bush walking tracks. My pups had a good time sniffing around, and a good run playing fetch.

This park has it all but the thing I came for was the off leash area. The lower end of the park has a large off lead area. Please note that it is not a fenced off area so if your pooch likes running off then this might not suit you. A local said they are going to reduce the size of the off lead area with future upgrades. I hope this is not true.

This is one of the nicest and most versatile parks in the Georges River area. You have bike paths, walking paths, off leash dog area, water ponds, toilets, lots of grass and trees, and a surrounding forest, Bins and also BBQ facilities. The atmosphere is great, and you feel you're in the wilderness when you're actually in the middle of a suburb! Well done Georges River Council, for developing and maintaining a great area for everybody to enjoy, including our pets. It's worth a visit, and if your kids have a game of cricket or football in the Gannons fields, bring your pet, a book and your other little ones to enjoy and not drive you crazy :-)
