Lucio brings his beautiful heritage to every single moment and mouthful, with everything made fresh at dawn each day. Or with the meats prepared overnight. From healthy things like juices, breakfast bowls, salads, through a seductive range of pastries oozing with Nutella or Italian creams, the substantial Italian breads and fillings are all made with love. (They even do old skool milkshakes!) Make mine a GF almond biscotti and an almond cap. My family LOVE the Bacon and Egg Panino - Ciabatta roll generously filled with a golden fried egg and bacon, plus all sides you could want. They have the patience of saints for the coffee orders everyone expects. NOTHING is too much trouble. Always check out the "freshly baked" - from limited run sausage rolls, special muffins and pies. Top shelf surprises every day. Lucio and his team with their killer smiles are charming and make you feel special from the moment you walk through the door. They have made Bar Lucio a real community. There are oodles of Italian treats like sfogliatelle, code d’aragosta, and Nutella-filled mini bomboloni, alongside danishes and portugese tarts. There are also freshly made panini, focaccia and some great fillings in their tramezzini. A woodfired panino stuffed with rocket, tomato, mozzarella and prosciutto gets rave reviews from us. There are super tasty salad combos, hot porridge and berries, and of course all the staples such as buttery croissants. In this sweltering heat, they are doing a roaring business on cold coffees and juices, as well as berry smoothies, iced matcha, old skool milk shakes. There is also fridge full of kombucha, chinotto and other drinks. If you are fit bods, a running club, tradies, cyclists, parents and bubs, or a dog owner, you will find your people. I am none of them, but a local who is made to feel at home. Every day, it is the joy of community. Something that means a lot to Lucio and his family tradition, and is reflected in his lovely staff.

My husband said the scramble egg, chorizo wrap, was the best sandwich he has had in Sydney! Delicious coffee. Good size sandwiches, lovely friendly staff. Will be back. Yum!

Toasted panini must have. Pastries excellent. Coffee too. Sticky chai was excellent.

Fantastic little street side cafe in the Randwick neighbourhood. Great coffee and a really nice range of sandwiches, cakes and hot food. Everything you could want and more. Service is really nice - pleasant smiling team and quick. Great place to sit outside on a sunny day and watch the local traffic pass.

The latest location for Bar Lucio. I love the Sfogliatella and Crostata. A good selection of lunch options and takeaway. Daily specials.
