Kareela Reserve is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in Doonside where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find toilets nearby.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at Kareela Reserve, a Blacktown City Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under effective control, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.
Good reserve. Home of the Doonside junior rugby leagues club and also a cricket side. Playground for the kids. Toilets are only open when there are community sports on so be aware of that if taking the kids down. There’s also netball courts and people meet there to play some kind of “ice stock” game but without the ice. Carpark floods easily after rain.
Good place to watch league..accept the players sideline sheds ,you can't see over them if standing behind them
A good sized reserve for AFL, cricket, netball. There's also a playground with older equipment.
Great reserve with multiple fields and a cricket pitch! Great for social soccer, football and cricket. Doesn't get too busy but generally there are lots of social games being played outside of competition hours
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
