HEY BAY BAÉ - Cafe

I have been going here for several years, as it’s next to my medical centre. The pastries are fresh daily from son of a baker. They sell them end of day cheaper so you know the next day a fresh batch arrives. The cheese bagel is delicious and the pistachio croissant is absolutely amazing. I also find the basic croissant light and fluffy. Coffee is ok, possibly not the best coffee beans but I still buy. The service from various staff over the years is always so friendly!

The service here was really nice but the food and drinks here were pretty average. Wasn’t a drink menu but she just said she’ll make whatever she had available so we got an iced chocolate which was fine. The cronut however was probably old so the texture you want from a croissant doughnut crossover was not there.

I had such high expectations for this cafe, eager to sample their coffee and pastries. On a quiet weekday morning, I arrived early and ordered my usual coffee, which was delightful. They boasted an impressive selection of pastries, and I had my heart set on a chocolate croissant. They did have a croissant topped with chocolate, so I inquired if it also had a chocolate filling. The staff assured me that it was indeed a chocolate-filled croissant. Unfortunately, as I reached the halfway point, I was disappointed to find no trace of chocolate inside. The pastry itself was stale and extremely dry, lacking any crispness or flakiness. Regrettably, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing pastries I've ever had. Adding to the unusual experience, this cafe is situated within a pharmacy, which is quite an uncommon combination that I haven't encountered before.

Love the place. Ms barista , Cherin is wonderful. Imagine, visiting your GP then to the Chemist and while you wait for your prescription is being made, you can have a nice coffee plus pastry too while waiting. My favourite, cappuccino and blue berry bagel. Today, tried the iced mocha with my bagel.

Little hole in the wall with a MOD bar :)) Surprised to see delicious range of pastries too. We had a Portuguese tart and mini almond pastry .. so yumm was to die for 😋😋😋 Coffee was excellent, and friendly staffs Definitely going back for my morning and afternoon fixes :)
