I had a great evening at Skye Bar & Lounge — the rooftop setting is genuinely impressive with 360° views of Sydney’s skyline and the Blue Mountains, which make it a standout place for drinks or a casual night out. The vibe up top is relaxed yet lively, and the handcrafted cocktails are definitely worth trying, especially during happy hour. A few reviewers also mentioned friendly and professional bartenders who added to the night’s atmosphere. Service was generally attentive, and we didn’t have long waits, which made the experience much more enjoyable than some accounts I’ve read where guests waited lengthy times for food or drinks. On the food front, portions felt a bit small for the price, and a couple of the dishes weren’t as memorable as I hoped — which others have also pointed out. Still, the sharer platters and snacks were tasty and hit the spot alongside the drinks. Overall, this rooftop bar delivers a fun night out with a great atmosphere, solid cocktails, and stunning views — just be mindful that the food can be on the pricier side compared with portion size.
A hidden gem with city views. Perfect for sunsets. It's on the rooftop of Crown Plaza hotel, it was quiet for Thursday night. But the ambience was fantastic. Food was small portions, we had some nibbles by ordering the chicken skewers and chicken sliders (needed to be more tender). Was $28 for two small sliders. Cocktails were okay. Though I ordered the Special Old Fashioned and it was supposed to be smoked and open in front of me - that did not happen. I also ordered vodka Martini but instead there was alot more vermouth than the vodka. Despite this, the service was good and atmosphere was on point. Shame that only hotel guests could get access to the pool area...
I’m really disappointed with this place. I carefully planned this visit for my birthday, checked the menu online, made a reservation, and told my friends what we’d be ordering. I was very very excited. When we arrived, we were told that the menu shown online wasn’t operating and a completely different menu was being served. This was embarrassing in front of my friends and completely ruined the plan for my birthday outing. The staff also didn’t seem to care or offer any proper explanation. I honestly don’t know whats the point of reservation. We ended up leaving and going to another place. If your online information isn’t accurate, it should be updated. This kind of experience wastes people’s time.
Came here for dinner on a rainy Sunday night. DO NOT EAT HERE. Waited an hour for fish and chips and salami and bread dish. The fish and chips looked like frozen supermarket food, and the salami dish was literally just chopped up salami on stale bread - one of the worst things I've ever eaten, and all for an extremely high price. The view is lovely, but the vibe was a little interrupted by copious leaks from the roof. Worth coming for drinks, but not food.
Went on a Friday night the place was very nice with a great vibe and good music. They had a DJ playing, but it wasn’t very busy . The view was pretty good, and the seating was super comfortable. Drinks and food were both really good too. Overall a great spot to chill and enjoy a night out.
