Ducked in for a quiet meal with some friends. Wait staff seated us with a smile and a very relaxed and chilled attitude. The chairs and tables were very clean and comfortable. We ordered a selection of the burgers each and they were delicious! They all came out together fast, the chips were crunchy with the perfect amount of salt. Great bistro. Will definitely be earing here again next time we are in town
The bistro offers consistently delicious, classic comfort food, prepared with real skill and care. The chefs are genuinely talented, and every meal reflects their commitment to flavour and quality. For taste, value, and overall dining satisfaction, it remains the best restaurant in Penrith. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy a meal. What keeps me returning, ever since the renovations a few years ago, is the outstanding food. However, the dining experience is sometimes let down by the service. I have found the wait staff to be occasionally unfriendly, and errors with orders have been a recurring issue. While the kitchen excels, the front‑of‑house service does not yet match the standard set by the food. With some attention to staff training—particularly around friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness—this bistro has the potential to be exceptional in every respect. If the service were brought up to the same high standard as the cuisine, it would be a place I could recommend wholeheartedly to everyone.
Wow just wow - haven’t been here for a few years but happened to be in the area for Thai massages so stopped in for lunch. Pub has had a complete makeover, bar staff super friendly & the quality of the food is amazing. The menu is a classic pub meals with a few extra surprises in the mix. They have food specials 7 days a week. We enjoyed the roast lamb last Sunday & today we enjoyed the T bones. The hotel is super clean & best part Reschs is on tap. They also good & wine pairing on Tuesdays. Will be back next Sunday after our massages
Loved the food and the atmosphere. The light music added a nice touch, and the dishes came out very quickly. The only downside was that the ribs were under-seasoned and the lamb was quite tough, despite being slow-cooked. Otherwise, everything else was great. I’d definitely come again and try other dishes.”
We visited for the first time on a Sunday night and were pleasantly surprised! The newly renovated dining area looks absolutely beautiful – such a lovely change since our last visit. The food was delicious, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. The only suggestion would be to provide a drinks menu so it’s easier to see what’s available. Otherwise, we loved our experience and think we may have just found our new regular spot!
