Chechos Penrith a Mexican inspired restaurant located in the heart of Penrith just off High Street, offering an impressive range of Mexican and higher end menu items such as oysters, Wagyu, Assorted chicken skewers, tacos, corn ribs etc, Quirky cocktail from handbag was unique tasty and good value for money. Food was a bit of a mix bag, beef brisket taco was pleasantly tasty, Chicken taco was a big letdown could barely pick it up a small amount of chicken, stale wrap and overloaded with sauce and coleslaw, Oysters were a little chewy and old. Pork was tasty paired with the sauces and avocado guacamole. However, was expecting a bit more of a crunch. Service was a little bit of a hit miss with the time I visited staff seemed a lil flustered However attentive, Food came out promptly and altogether wasn’t asked if I had entrees to come first them mains. Fairly priced Great location. On site amenities were clean. On street parking and close by car parks. Both indoor and outdoor dining. Not a bad spot for casual dining experience .

By far the best Mexican restaurant in Penrith. The food is consistently delicious — the corn ribs are the best I’ve ever had. The tacos are fantastic, and there are plenty of great vegetarian options to choose from. The cocktails are also delicious and well priced, which makes it an easy spot for a fun night out. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is constantly being cleaned so everything feels fresh and sparkling. If you’re looking for great Mexican food in Penrith, look no further than Cheecho’s.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here on a Saturday night and loved the vibe! The food was tasty, especially the corn ribs. The wagyu beef was alright. Great spot for a night out with friends.

CHECHOS® PENRITH 🧐 I was lucky enough to be invited to try Chechos in Penrith. As soon as I saw the line-up of modern Mexican dishes and that neon-lit vibe, I knew it was going to be my kind of place. They’re opening in Camden soon and I already can’t wait to go again. 🎨Neon signage, moody lighting, loud music, bold art and a seriously fun energy. It’s cool, cheeky and full of flavour — just like the menu. Think late-night taqueria meets upscale Mexican diner. Definitely somewhere you’d go with friends or for a fun date night. 🍸Didn’t get to try a cocktail this time but their bar setup looked so fun. Tequila and mezcal lovers, you’re covered. 🍽️ ✨ Kingfish Aguachile Kingfish, yuzu, pickled onions, jalapeño, tajin seasoning and lime So fresh, so zesty and just the right amount of heat. The kind of starter that wakes up your taste buds in the best way. ✨ Fish Tacos Flathead, garlic cream, pico de gallo, onion salsa and consommé My favourite bite of the night. The garlic cream was next-level and the consommé on the side gave it that rich depth. Crunchy, creamy, punchy perfection. ✨ Wagyu Scotch Fillet MB3+ With chimichurri and lime Juicy, charred and cooked beautifully. Loved the simple yet powerful flavour combo. That chimichurri is no joke. 👀 Next time I want to try The prawn tostada The birria tacos — I’ve seen these all over socials and they look insane 🙏Chechos is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. Bold, modern and full of flavour. If this is what they’re doing in Penrith, I can’t wait to see what magic they bring to Camden. Massive thanks to the Chechos team for having me — I’ll be back the minute those Camden doors open.

My husband brought me here for my birthday, the cocktails were immaculate. I enjoyed the flavours, nothing like I’ve had anywhere in Sydney. However, the tables were SO close together. It was like having dinner with strangers. Felt bazaar. The food was good, the fried chicken is a little dry so I would not recommend. But overall it was lovely I would recommend trying it out.
