I don’t ever write reviews, but I had to go on and write one here. This place was horrible in nearly every sense of the word. When we arrived, the place was nearly empty and stayed no more than 40% capacity the entire night. We ordered our starters and mains at 6:30pm. The starters took about 30 minutes, which made us question the service, given how the place was not even half full. The mains didn’t come out until 8:10pm. Over an hour and a half after we ordered, in a place that wasn’t even half full. The wait staff never gave us updates or checked on us or asked us if we wanted more drinks or anything. We had to flag them down every time we had a question about or food or wanted to order another drink to hold us over. Our main orders were some sides of fries, 5 steaks (1 well done, 2 medium, 2 medium rare), and an order of veggies. We were very annoyed at the crazy wait time, and the veggies had a hair right in the middle of the dish. We immediately sent that back and were willing to just let it go, until we looked at our steaks. Of the two medium rare steaks, one was absolutely well done, with the other only being slightly better - medium/well at best. When we voiced this to the waitress, she was somewhat willing to empathise with the obviously well done steak and took it off our bill, but said she would not refund the other steak because “she could see some pink in it”. This steak was nowhere near any image of what anyone can search online for a medium rare steak. Because we were so hungry after a 90 minute wait for our food, most of us just ate the food but the blatantly well done steak was not edible. The fact that the waitress had the nerve to argue that because there was some pink was insane. When we asked for a new steak, she also had the gall to say “as you can see, we are busy, so this will take some time”. Because we had commented on the over half empty dining room throughout the night, this comment actually felt like an insult to our intelligence. Between the hair, the incredibly long wait, the horribly cooked steaks, and the horrible service where we were ignored for most of the night without any updates on our food and then met with a defensive attitude, I would encourage anyone whoever considers this place to avoid it at all costs. The wine was alright, which has nothing to do with the restaurant. I’m certain that if they had any impact on the quality of alcohol they serve, it would also be horrendous. I’m even more annoyed that I can’t rate this place a 0 or even some kind of negative number review.

Do not come to eat here unless you're up for a huge disappointment. Food takes 1 hour to come out (COLD). Steak is dry, Octopus is super dry and Pasta is like clumped over cooked and feels like left overs from 2 days ago re heated. Worse meal I've ever tasted in Sydney or anywhere! Their Scallops Queen which cost $28 came out dry and cold in a size of $6 Mini frozen scallops. I'm really confused how they remain open as a restaurant with this pricing.

Such a gem hidden in Haymarket. All the staff is very lovely. We ordered quite a few dishes. Everything was delicious. Specially the steak, lasagne, and zucchini fritters. I found this restaurant through Eatclub and I got 40% off from the bill. It can very quite pricy if you don't have a deal. We ended up paying $30 each instead of $50.

Bar Morris is one of those hole in the wall places that you’d walk past, but quite a quirky find if do look hard enough around Thaitown. I would have given Bar Morris a 3 overall if it hadn’t been for my Accor Plus restaurant deal, the food was overcooked, the staff forgot my beer after asking 3 different staff members so in the end I had to walk to the bar to make sure it is poured. The seating area is a bit awkward due to its intimate style but if you can manage a private booth or the sharing table, it’s actually quite pleasant. The Food - zucchini flower was over cooked. Pasta in the special lamb ragu was also overcooked. And then the Brussel sprouts was over cooked. Flavours were generally good. Drinks - happy hour was wonderful with negroni and espresso martini, but then the beer taps had issues and my beer took 30mins to make it to the table which I had to intervene and grab it myself. Overall, a cute place I’d like to try again in the future.

I really love the ambiance and interiors of the bar, although it seems more fitting to visit during evening for drinks. The building appears to be a heritage structure. We went here for lunch but there were only sandwiches (which were good nonetheless!). Giving 4 stars overall as service was great.
