The place is very big, but it is a great way to escape the heat of the mid Sydney day. The table, booth seat and glass were not clean when I arrived though I was the first guest in upon opening. Even the toilets could do with a fleshing up. Don’t get me wrong, we are not talking about a likening to a roadside toilet. But there is a level of expectation in a place like this that wasn’t met. The staff are very friendly and quick to take drink and food orders. But checking up on the guest experience, offering refills, getting additional orders, etc was not done. The pizza was light, fresh and had good flavor. The beer range was strong.
Big restaurant. Lots of seating inside and outside. Several veggie options. The Arrabiatta has a kick to it. The mushroom pizza is very good as are the rosemary fries. We were a party of 4 and there was a surcharge added to our bill (which I noticed after I added a tip).
A Slice of Italy by the Harbour We had a fantastic dinner at the beautifully located Fratelli Fresh in Darling Harbour. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent—prompt, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. The restaurant has a wonderful, lively atmosphere inspired by the coastal energy of Naples, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed yet vibrant meal. We started our meal with bruschetta and a selection of drinks. For our mains, the pizza was absolutely delicious, and the steak marvellous; the menu has some fantastic options like the Diavola with spicy salami and capsicum, or the classic Prosciutto di Parma. It’s the ideal place to visit if you're enjoying the sights around Darling Harbour, especially after a day at the ICC Sydney or shopping nearby. If you happen to visit on a Thursday, they even have an extended Happy Hour with great deals on drinks until 9pm. A truly lovely experience with great food, good vibes, and impeccable service. We will definitely be back!
Sitting outside for dinner during spring is really lovely 😍 A place n with nice casual ambiance. Good Italian food. Not much choices in the menu, but its ok. Anything we order is just nice. Garlic breath is good. Oysters are good too, pretty chubby oysters Mushroom truffle pizza is also not bad at all Pastas are great As well as the salad 🥗 Love the bloody orange gin spritz too, a little sweat and refreshing and light, good to drink after a hectic day They also offer good dessert and gelato
We had such a disappointing experience at Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour. We had a 1pm booking and still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated- it wasn't busy, staff were just inattentive. Traveling with children, we thought there might be some consideration to get us settled quickly – but that wasn’t the case at all. Once seated, it took another 40 minutes just to be served. We tried everything – making eye contact, hailing waiters, even politely asking for help – only to be brushed off with a “we’ll be right back” that never happened. The staff were inattentive, unfriendly, and not once apologetic. By that point, we were on the verge of leaving with hungry, cranky kids and frustrated parents. When the food finally arrived – an hour later – there was still no acknowledgment of the shocking wait. One pizza came out with undercooked dough and toppings that didn’t even reach the edge. The salad was even worse – big chunks of lettuce with dirty roots still attached. For the price, it was insulting. We felt completely disrespected and unvalued, despite spending good money here. Expensive, careless, and appalling service. We won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
