Fratelli Fresh at Darling Harbour welcomes dogs in the outdoor seating area, which has weather shelter. Tumbalong Park is around 130 metres away, making it easy to combine a meal with a walk along the harbour.
Dogs welcome in our outdoor spaces.
The place is very big, but it is a great way to escape the heat of the mid Sydney day. The table, booth seat and glass were not clean when I arrived though I was the first guest in upon opening. Even the toilets could do with a fleshing up. Don’t get me wrong, we are not talking about a likening to a roadside toilet. But there is a level of expectation in a place like this that wasn’t met. The staff are very friendly and quick to take drink and food orders. But checking up on the guest experience, offering refills, getting additional orders, etc was not done. The pizza was light, fresh and had good flavor. The beer range was strong.
Had a really enjoyable weekend lunch here with the family at Fratelli Fresh Darling Harbour. The location is very convenient, with plenty happening around the area. It’s a vibrant part of the city and a great spot to explore before or after your meal. From here you can take a pleasant stroll toward Darling Harbour, or head in the other direction toward Haymarket to walk off the calories. The restaurant itself is a beautiful space with really high ceilings and a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. It feels lively without being overwhelming, and it’s a great place to bring the family. There’s a kids’ menu and gelato that little ones will enjoy, and there’s also a huge open space outside the restaurant where kids can run around if they get a bit restless while waiting for food. Food was very solid overall. We especially enjoyed the burrata, chicken parmigiana, and the charred leeks. We also ordered a few pizzas and they were all good. Service was quick and friendly, which always makes the experience more pleasant when dining with family. Overall, a great family-friendly restaurant in a fun part of the city. I’d recommend making reservations, especially on weekends. Would definitely come back again.
The food was pretty nice and quick. • The prosciutto pizza was delicious; it’s wood fire pizza so a crispy crust. • Focaccia was nice too, nice and buttery and the ricotta sauce that was paired with it was very enjoyable. • Zucchini flower was fried very well, but it would be nicer if it was just a bit of a bigger portion. • Pasta was okay. Prawn Fettuccine had an interesting taste, unsure what sauce it was but it was a bit too bland or not salted. • Tiramisu was delicious. Definitely would eat that for a nice afternoon snack here. Staff members would chat at the serving counter the whole time I was there. So, it was hard to get their attention to either order or pay. With that in mind, I also had to get up and find another pair of cutlery at another vacant table~ since there was no staff around to find a clean pair. Overall, it’s an average restaurant experience.
Great location. Within walking distance from CBD and greta vibes towards early evening. Good variety of food. The environment is good for large group gathering but wait be a long wait for service and food. Our order was mixed twice in main and dessert.
I had a really lovely dinner at Fratelli Fresh on Wednesday night. The food was genuinely delicious, especially the pizza, and everything we ordered was very good. A special mention to the Italian waitress who took care of us. She was friendly, helpful and checked on us a few times to make sure everything was going well. Great food, great service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. I’d happily come back.
