One of Sydney’s oldest pubs located in the Rocks area, a short walk from the harbour or the main shopping areas. It offers a range of drinking and dining options across multiple levels with a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. Can’t comment on the food as I took all my nourishment in liquid form, but others in my group ordered finger food and said it was pretty good. Definitely worth dropping in for a drink if you are exploring the nearby area.

Great location and pretty good menu. We had a nice meal and wines were good too and price was reasonable. The problem was Kangaroo rump - we ordered medium rare but came medium well done and tough. We asked for it to be redone and it came back overcooked again. We didn't complain again and cleaned the plate as we were hungry and didn't want to waste the meat again. Please cook the meat correctly.

We have been coming to the Orient for about 25 years now and its a great pub. The staff are lovely, shout out to Lauren, Nikki and Nikki, Tori, Sol,Prash AND everyone who looked after us on NYE (sorry if I spelt anyones name wrong). Highly recommend this place for NYE 2026 , food was 5 star. Its just a lovely pub with everyone made to feel welcome.. The free live bands are also great ! 👍

I dropped in to escape the crowded market's noise and heat. Ordered a beer and a dish. The friendly staff happily offered tastings and recommended a fruity brew – utterly delightful! The schnitzel was crispy and delicious. Suddenly a band started playing, making for an unexpectedly cheerful break. Later I learnt it wasn't highly rated, which surprised me. It wasn't bad at all.

This bar restaurant boasts high top seats and a lively atmosphere. I visited at night for dinner. Multiple security personnel present. Music performance enhanced the overall ambiance. To order your food, simply scan the QR code. The kangaroo rump was an absolute delight, and the pasta was equally impressive. If you prefer not to order drinks from the bar, there’s water available for your convenience.
