The portions were huge for me and my husband. The food was sooo good and definitely worth the price. If you’re looking for a halal cafe, this place is a must-try. It’s inside a park and there’s a playground for kids. Cozy spot and very family-friendly.

We recently held our son’s 5th birthday party at Kals on Cahill, and it was absolutely perfect! The staff were amazing, warm, attentive and incredibly accommodating from start to finish. We chose the buffet-style event menu, and the food was outstanding. The portions were generous, beautifully presented, and tasted incredible. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. We were able to set up our backdrop, and the team arranged the table settings to absolute perfection. The ambience by the river created the most stunning atmosphere, and the private event space felt like a true hidden gem. Many of our guests were so impressed that they’re now considering hosting their own events here! We also got to play our own music through the sound system, and the staff managed the service flawlessly, bringing out food and drinks with perfect timing and even cutting the cake for us. We’re regulars at Kals for breakfast, and hosting our event here has made us love it even more. Thank you to the whole team for helping us create such a memorable day.

FOOD: The food was good! I just wish the filo pastry was a bit thicker — it felt more like a wrapper pressed together. SERVICE: Reasonable wait time even though it was a little busy when I visited. There were quite a few staff, so things ran smoothly. ATMOSPHERE: The outdoor seats were full, so I sat indoors, which was still nice. It can get busy, so making a reservation might be a good idea.

Great place for brunch. Location not far from Wolli Creek station. The food was delicious and the coffee was great. There's a playground just across them so if you have kids, they can have fun after having a nice meal.

This place is absolutely awesome – 10/10! The must-try dish is the arancini balls. They’re packed with flavor, and the crispy coating is the perfect touch. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful. You can enjoy views of the river and the park, and the inside of the café is clean and welcoming. I went there today – it was quite busy, but the staff were still smiling and greeted us warmly. This might just become our favorite café. I can’t wait to visit again!
