What people say
We walked in ready for a few casual drinks — you know, like at literally any establishment that possesses a bar. But apparently at Don Pedros, ordering a drink without committing to a full culinary mortgage is frowned upon. We decided to order sour cream which is a lovely dish but apparently the establishment didn't consider this food. Will not be coming back here.
For anyone who loves Mexican, I would not recommend going to this place. The waiter was lovely and it was nice to sit outside but unfortunately, the food was extremely bad. Nothing seemed fresh or homemade, simply store-bought. We paid $18 for two pieces of tortilla chips with cooked tuna. The chrispy prawn taco was made with tiny prawns fried a bit - weirdest taco ever! And the beef and pork tacos were dry with no taste. I’ve loved eating out in Sydney but this place was quite literally extremely bad. Please up your game Don Pedros, don’t make us waste our money like this 💔
The food is bit ordinary for my own liking, the Fish Ceviche is quite fishy and blank. But the restaurant itself is nice and chill. Staff is super friendly.
Great Mexican in a cozy spot. I had the sizzling fajita with chicken ($49) and extra prawn protein ($18). It was delicious and perfect for two people. The chezequito (chorizo in guey cheese) was a nice surprise. I'd order both again for sure.
We went there on a rainy Saturday so the place was really quiet and empty. No complains though as the staff were really attentive. Tacos were great, we really loved the soft shell crab, the pork and fish tacos. Ask for the hot sauces; it adds a nice kick.
