What people say
Was staying in Goulburn and was having trouble finding a scenic dog friendly walk. Found the Berrima River Walk on google wich looked ideal. Drove the hour to get there only to find ( contrary to website and Parks NSW site) no dogs allowed signage. Very disappointing!!
Lovely bush walk. Interesting history as you walked... until other walkers told us there was a snake on the track further ahead. We kept walking on the track & kept a good lookout for a snake so it took away the relaxing walk it could have been.
Fantastic easy walk along the river with signs explaining the period when Germans lived here in a ‘prison’ during the war. There was a whole community! Very interesting. The path was easy and mostly flat, some small area had to traverse some rocks. Gorgeous views along the river and a chance to see lots of wildlife including a red bellied black snake, yellow tailed cockatoos and a kookaburra
The so-called river walk is basically non-existent. There are people sitting and relaxing at the higher ground next to the river, but there is no obvious walking trail along the river from the car park.
This is a beautiful river so clean and fresh. Abundant wildlife we saw wombats water rats which are very clean and fish in the river. Platypus are also in this river we thought we saw one but they are very elusive. There is a walk from the Berrima reserve along the Wingecarrabee river to Lambies well and into town for all the shops. There is also a self guided walk of the town with the historic building and the jail, the court which is wonderful as you walk through the court rooms
