I went to this restaurant for the first time today, I ordered 2 entrees. The prawn cutlets came out not to my expectations, they were just prawns in a bowl and were cold and the cauliflower was mainly salad and not even a handful of cauliflowers. I was quite disappointed as I was excited to try this restaurant and didn’t have the best experience. For the money we spent there it would have been nice to have a better experience with food, but I hope this message is seen as a little bit of feedback and not too harsh.

We are regular customers at Palace Hotel Pub as it’s directly across from our home, but this visit was extremely disappointing. We ordered our usual half-kilo chicken wings and beef & bean nachos. I asked to swap the ranch dipping sauce — something I have done many times before — but this time I was charged $3 just to swap the sauce. When I asked why, the cashier responded very abruptly and rudely with, “DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT?!” When the food arrived, the disappointment continued. The “half-kilo” chicken wings were clearly not half a kilo. The wings were much smaller and the portion was significantly less than what we have always received in the past. Between the rude service and the reduced food portion, this experience was unacceptable. We’ve lived in Breakfast Point for nearly 10 years, but we will not be returning. We would rather travel further to another pub than come back here.

We have eaten here plenty of times and it’s always great. The Wednesday night steak nights are fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal at the Palace, great choice of beers too. It’s a good old fashioned Aussie pub with great character and staff.

Been a regular for years but sadly the food has gone way downhill. Ordered a medium rare t-bone with veggies. They managed to over cook the steak to well done, while managing to serve the vegetables almost raw. Steak was full of gristle too, overall a horrendous job by the kitchen. All for the ripoff price of $52! You have lost a long time customer.

We've had food at the Palace a handful of times over the years and its been ok, but credit were it is due. We had food last night and a couple of weekends ago and it was fantastic. Some of the best pub food I've had in a long time! The steaks, pastas and salads were all great! I don't know what they are doing differently but keep doing it. We will be back regularly if the food stays this way.
