Bay West is a beach in Mortlake. Dog access at NSW beaches varies by council and is often restricted by zone or time of day — the rules here aren't confirmed, so check the local council's beach dog rules before visiting.
City of Canada Bay's "Local off-leash areas" page states: "Failure to control your dog by means of an adequate chain, cord or leash (unless in a Council declared off-leash area) is an offence under the Companion Animals Act 1998." This venue is not in the council's declared off-leash areas, so dogs must be on-leash. (Source: City of Canada Bay — Local off-leash areas, canadabay.nsw.gov.au.)
Beautiful calm place. Great park for kids to play and BBQ for family. Loved it!
Such a great place for doing a Party & Openair family gathering.. BBQ & Kids Children Play Group and plenty of seating space
Lovely place, beach, picnic tables, barbecue, play area, whole day you can spend there.
Amazing place to be on a breezy evening. The place is kid-friendly - it has a nice, big play area for kids at the entrance and a little zip-line for adults down further in the area. There’s also space and amenities for picnics or little family and friends gatherings. There’s a great view of the Sydney City Skyline and a little boardwalk that takes you around the place. Overall, a great place and a must-visit if you live close-by.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
