Bay West is a beach in Mortlake. Dog access at NSW beaches varies by council and is often restricted by zone or time of day — the rules here aren't confirmed, so check the local council's beach dog rules before visiting.

Dog rules

Beaches managed by City of Canada Bay Council are on-leash by default under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. We haven’t been able to confirm from a council source that this specific beach is council-managed — it’s likely, but please check on-site signage or contact City of Canada Bay Council before visiting with a dog.

Amazing place to be on a breezy evening. The place is kid-friendly - it has a nice, big play area for kids at the entrance and a little zip-line for adults down further in the area. There’s also space and amenities for picnics or little family and friends gatherings. There’s a great view of the Sydney City Skyline and a little boardwalk that takes you around the place. Overall, a great place and a must-visit if you live close-by.
