I am a solo mother with a psychosocial disability and NDIS participant where I was was hosting my two baby sisters visiting from Perth. On evening of Monday, 20 May around 8:30pm, we all and my 3 year old son were going to eat at Pancakes On The Rocks and I was so relieved and excited to find a parking spot right outside Argyle. We were about to get out when a security guard tap on the passenger window. He then told me that I cannot park there as there is delivery coming. I was in disbelief as it was night time and delivery drivers tend find alternative parking. There wasn’t any cones to reserve the parking spot either. I questioned him repeating that there are deliveries tonight to which he seemed annoyed and passive aggressively said “yes”. This was all in front of my two sisters and son. This was highly triggering and stressful. Luckily, I found a parking spot nearby. This caused further discomfort as the “delivery” could have just parked here. Isn’t that what they’re paid for? To make things worse, I saw 4-door hatchback park in my original car spot thinking the security guard will also tell the driver to leave. But to my disbelief it was a male worker leaving the vehicle with no packages, parcels, or any sort of “delivery goods”. He and the security guard greet each other. He then just stands next to the security guard at the entrance. This made me so angry and helpless at the same time. I wanted to say something to them but feared as they were two male security guards and I’m 5’4 with my son and teen sisters. So vulnerable. This was highly unprofessional. The dishonesty, lack of duty of care for public and entitlement is disgraceful. I was going to write a formal letter but, I have major trust issues, time-poor and have other priorities to attend. Kindly take accountability and will happily review this review. No hate on Argyle as a whole just the treatment from that security guard

This is a review of the exterior bar at Argyle and the service and drinks we had there. We were walking past this venue when we saw that they were showing an outdoor movie. It was a gorgeous night to sit outside and watch a movie! So we stopped in for a second, and then realized it was a movie we enjoyed, and sat down on the cozy couch and ordered some drinks. The bartender was very, very nice. We also ordered some food, and it came from a couple of their nearby restaurants. The food was OK, but the drinks were quite good. Nothing outstanding; we just ordered some basic drinks, and they were fine. But the bartender was just so pleasant So, three stars for the food (they were outsourcing it, so not sure it’s 100% their fault), but five stars for the atmosphere and the bartender! Loved sitting outside on the comfy couches and watching the free movie. They even had free popcorn! Everyone that worked there was very nice. I think this may have been one of their first times trying out the outdoor movie experience, because there were a few technical glitches, but we were not in a hurry to get anywhere. Overall, a lovely night to spend watching a free movie, sipping cool drinks, and enjoying free popcorn with a pleasant staff!

Haven’t been here in a while. Since I was 18, 25 now. Karen was so welcoming, the other bar tenders were so rude and only wanted to serve under age people. Karen made my experience so amazing! It’s insane to come back 10 years later and have such bad experience except with Karen - she was such a good bar tender and host. I will not be back until less Karen is here. It’s not fair to come back over 25 and get an experience of an under age. Karen was so welcoming to any age and didn’t discriminate. The rest of the bar tenders would not serves unless they were under the age of 18!!!!!!

Thursday: 10 cents Dumplings, 5$ Pizza, sounds very appealing at first, but when you order, you have to wait for 45+ minutes to get the food. Despite how less crowded the place was. Was a nice experience but will not do it again. (the pizza is really good, the dumplings are not so great tho )

Wow, this place is so bad. Cocktails at happy hour are so under poured that they are not even worth it. Bar staff tried to double charge me and demanded that I produce the proof because the item that they had on the menu was actually not on the menu. Refunded me in cash (not legal). The only good point was the BBQ. Dude selling brisket rolls cared about his food and sold it like he was cooking for his family. Awesome but please leave that place, you deserve better
