Dog rules

Central Coast Council's "Guide to being PAWSOME!" booklet states: "When exercising in a public place, keep your dog on a lead and under the control of a competent person." "This means when you are outside your home, including on the footpath, your dog must be on a lead — except in designated dog off-leash exercise areas." The booklet also notes that under the Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs are prohibited from schools, shopping centres, beaches (except in designated areas), food preparation areas, playgrounds and wildlife protection areas. This park is not on Central Coast Council's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies. (Source: Central Coast Council — "Guide to being PAWSOME!" This garden is seriously stunning with a huge range of vegetables and fruits. They have products swap every last Sunday of the month as well. I highly recommend visiting this garden and/ or volunteering if you are a garden fan.

I dropped by on a last Sunday of the month produce swap day. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Tania took us on a tour around the community garden which was really impressive! If you want to join up to help out in the community garden you will need to apply for membership and pay a fee (to cover insurance).

Amazing community garden. So much effort put in and upcycling of trash to become useful elements of the garden. Contribute your time and resources to harvest fruit and veg, but the workers don't mind if you thoughtfully and sparingly gather a few herbs for immediate use. So lovely.
