The coffee is truly exceptional. Perfect strength, smooth, silky texture, just the right temp. AND they have Tigernut milk! 3 separate occasions so far and consistently great. I would say, it’s easily the best I’ve had across Newy. So glad to have found this dog friendly, easy going cafe. It’s a gem!
Service: poor. Staff didn’t seem interested at all. No hellos or anything. After I had stood at the counter for a minute or so, the barista then said “I won’t be a moment”. Food: I ordered a humble ham, cheese, tomato toastie. To my absolute surprise it also had aioli on it. Which was not advertised. Extremely poor form, no mention from the lady either. My mum’s açai bowl was delicious though, very fresh ingredients. I ordered a fresh pastel de nata and after 10 minutes I still hadn’t received it. Other customers got food and drinks made before I got mine, seems like they forgot about me. To be honest the lady who served me could’ve given it to me right there and then when I paid rather than sending me back to my table. We both ordered iced mocha, mine was okay, nothing special, but my mum’s tasted like reused coffee beans, with a burnt taste. Extremely disappointing for such a popular cafe.
Had a leisurely early Sunday breakfast here. Enjoyed the bright, open space and the food was good. Would certainly return....loved the vibe.
Love the matchas here! Not too sweet and better value for money than other cafes that offer matcha in the area. I’ll keep coming back thats for sure :)
Named in memory of the Merewether Newsagents, the Paper Run is a new happening cafe that does a great cappuccino and serves up a delicious ham and cheese croissant. The staff are friendly and always up for a chat and the cafe is spacious and has plenty of seating.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
