The venue itself is beautiful. As a venue manager here is my feedback. Pizza size is ridiculous, i came in starving, ordered a pizza, left still starving. Had to wait like 5 minutes minimum for a beer while some teenager polishing cutlery stared at me smiling making no effort to communicate to anyone that customers were waiting. Pulled $700 out of bull rush so left on good terms. If you need a 2IC to help turn this shit around hit me up.

Lost a star because you guys got rid of the pepper sauce!!! Otherwise our local pub the Mary Ellen is usually pretty good. We have had the steaks and schnitzels and some other goodies. The play area is handy with an active toddler! Please bring back the pepper sauce!!!! We may have to start bringing our own peppercorns to mix in the gravy! Service is pretty good as well. Thanks guys

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by outstanding and friendly staff who made me feel so welcome. This was my first visit, and I was genuinely impressed by the warm atmosphere and excellent service throughout. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. Portions were generous, leaving me completely satisfied. You can tell that a lot of care goes into both the cooking and the customer experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family!

One of Newcastles iconic local pubs! Has undergone a major renovation in recent years and now has a modern restaurant with bar space. The large restaurant area seats a good amount but reservations are recommended as it is quite popular particularly at dinner. The food is of a high standard and I would be surprised if you are disappointed.

One of the better pub feeds in newcastle. The prices were reasonable and the staff are friendly. I found my steak was unevenly cooked which was slightly disappointing as I’d come to try the steak - well done on one side and medium on the other. The peppercorn sauce was delicious and so were the wings. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu and give the steak a do-over.
