Glover Street Sporting Ground is a dog-friendly park in Lilyfield with an off-leash area where dogs can stretch their legs off lead, with some time-based restrictions in place. Just 300m away, Blu Aqua Kiosk is a great nearby spot to grab a coffee with your pup.
The Glover Street Sporting Ground (Callan Park) is off-leash at all times except during organised sporting games, training and events, when dogs must be on a leash.
Sporting ground used for lots of sports. Soccer ⚽, AFL and 2 baseball fields! These are used for community sports and practice, not professional games, so I don't recommend coming by for a look 😂 🐓 Check out the adjoining community garden! It's not meant for popping in, but you can see plenty through the fence. 🚻 Nearest toilet is across the drive, marked on Maps. 🚘 Street parking, but fills quickly evenings and weekends (when the sport grounds are in use)
Good to know they have a community garden. They have few chicken and a small farm land. I went there first time due to my son soccer match. The grass are good and the field is big. The floor is not muddy after raining. However, they dont have a place to buy food or cafe, or I didn't find it. They also dont have toilet unfortunately. Or again, I didnt find it. Google Maps direction is confusing. It went to the back of the field. But there are more park in the front. Better park on thr Glover St.
Good field for baseball. The local BDFC use the field in winter but often ruin the surface. For baseball there are two purpose build diamonds with shelter for both home and away teams. The field is located between the Inner West aquatic centre and Callan Park. There is no canteen unfortunately so bring your sports drinks and food. The field is positioned high on the water so it can get quite windy.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
