Webster's Bar offers a more casual, low-key setting downstairs, with air conditioning and a concrete floor that make it comfortable for dogs, especially on warmer days. It's a simple setup that works well for a relaxed visit.
The location near Newtown Square means there's plenty of foot traffic nearby, particularly if you're seated toward the front.
Dogs welcome in downstairs bar.
Great rooftop bar and food options including Gluten Free for anyone who is Coeliac. This bar has three levels and is easy to access, being so close to the Newtown train station. The Peri Peri Burger, Falafel Burger and Atlantic Salmon were all wonderful. Perfect sized portions for my family friends and I. Dog friendly spot, too, and not very busy on a Monday so a good option if you want a quiet spot on a non peak day. My only problem is the bathroom situation on the top outdoor rooftop section. The bathroom was disgusting on a quiet Monday and there was pee all over the toilet seats. The bathroom is a shared men's and women's so ladies beware of this really vile choice. Also the taps are awful and difficult to turn on/off if you aren't quite strong. You also get a nice blast of water on you from the water pressure and the strange sink to tap distance. Besides that gross bathroom, we had a great time here.
I really like this place because there is dj on the rooftop. And on the second and first floors, the vibe is completely different, which gives you a more varied experience. You kind of have to find your own spot, and sometimes that can be tricky because the rooftop is almost always (or always) full, but it’s definitely a bar I’d recommend going to
Super dope spot to kb or get lit, real nice setup on the rooftop where we were at! Service is great the wait staff can magically find you, and wait times are around 25mins for food orders 🔥👌. Hella social place for big friend groups or a couple wanting the vibes and good music. Definitely will be back yall !
Although touted as a university bar for local australians, have not had much of an issue going there for a night out or casual drinks with friends. Multiple levels allows different types of nights depending on who you are with, bouncers are always friendly, rooftop stays open modestly late and plenty of seating types to join with drinks depending on the evening. Have not tried the food there. Central to many other location on king street.
Great food and reasonable prices. The Parma was delicious and a great value. The rooftop is a must visit and is a great place to hang out with friends. They also have events (sadly missed out on trivia). Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. I definitely recommmend a visit.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
