Dogs welcome — rules apply•Dog rules

Updated 29 Apr 2026

Peace reserve is a dog-friendly park in Newtown. Just 50m away, Flour Drum is a great nearby spot to grab a coffee with your pup.

Dog rules

–Inner West Council's "Dog exercise areas" page states: "By law, dogs must be on a leash in public places unless the area is a designated off-leash area." Inner West Council publishes a list of gazetted off-leash areas; this venue is not on that list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. I wouldn't say it's a park, more of a small town square, mostly concrete with a couple benches and a few shrubs. OK enough place to sit and eat your lunch with your dog on leash

Great well presented corner with ample space to gather for lunch or get together. Various timber benches etc make this a good size for larger groups too. It is very clean and well maintained. Large tree with carefully surrounding timber benches allow for a gorgeous area to take time out while avoiding the heat of the day.
