Dog park at Federal Park
The dog park at Federal Park in Annandale is a well-used space with BBQs, shade from mature trees, and toilets nearby. The grassed area can get quite muddy after heavy rain — something to be aware of if your dog is a mud magnet. It has a solid local community, and the foreshore location adds to the appeal. This is the on-leash section of the broader Federal Park precinct.

I have gone to this park with my dog numerous of times and it has always been a good experience. Yesterday we went again but I was extremely put off by the dirtiness of the dog beach area. There was jellyfish washed on shore, bottles of plastic bottles floating by the shoreline and to top it off, a dead (stiffen) rat by the rock area, poking out. I felt sick seeing all this and probably won't be going back anytime soon.
Awesome place for some exercise at this off leash dog friendly park, the location has big open grassed areas which are perfect for picnics or kicking a football around, the park is open 24/7 which is great because night time is the best time to appreciate the city skyline and take some great photos.
Small beach area is just enough for dog swims but a good start to being dog friendly.
Great place to exercise dogs and selves. Can get very muddy after heavy rain
Take your pooch down here for a run around the large open area. Off the lead one side, cross the bridge and lead on. Lots of activity, walk, run, cycle along the bay or watch the world go by. Watch out where you walk as sometimes owners don't always pick up their dogs mess which is disappointing. Great park otherwise
