Glebe Foreshore Parks

Dogs welcome
Dog rating

Updated 19 June 2026

Glebe Foreshore Parks are one of the standout waterfront walks in NSW, offering a long, continuous stretch of paths with open views across the harbour. The walk can be as short or as long as you like, with multiple entry points and connecting sections along the foreshore.

There are small beach-like areas where dogs can access the water, along with plenty of open space, bins, and water fountains along the way. It's well maintained and works well for longer walks, especially with dogs that enjoy a mix of walking and water.

Beautiful harbour walk with plenty of dogs around. Along the way you’ll find grassy ovals, a few spots where dogs can swim, and lovely views of the city. It’s an easy place to spend a whole day, bring a rug and enjoy a picnic in a shady spot. 🐶🌿🌊

The Glebe Foreshore is a large area with lots of sub-parks, so let's do a tour! Locals call 'The Glebe Foreshore' the pedestrian/bike trail and surrounding green areas from the Crescent (at Swadlings Lumber) all the way to Pyrmont Bridge Rd (next to Blackwattle Bay Secondary School). The main park areas are: Federal Park (closes to the Crescent), Jubilee Park (containing the oval) and Bicentennial Park (along the water). 🚲 This is a fantastic place for walking and biking. Note that as will all shared paths, the speed limit is 10k/hr. 🌭 There are plenty of grassy beautiful spots with water views for a picnic. There are BBQ facilities at Federal Park. 🚻 There are public toilets at Federal Park (under the light rail arch), 2 at Jubilee Park (next to the oval) and one next to the Glebe Ferry stop. They are all marked on Google Maps. 🍭 The best playground is Federal Park, which has equipment for little kids (sand pit, swings) and big kids (climbing, large slide). There is a smaller playground at Jubilee Park that's best suited for smaller kids. 🐕 This is a great area for dogs! There is an off-leash area in Federal Park, follow the signs. You'll spot numerous fellow dog lovers along the whole path! 🎣 Yes, people fish in the water. DO NOT eat anything that comes out! This area had heavy industry and the levels of mercury and heavy metals make fish from here unsafe to eat. 🚈 There are light rail stops at the start (Roselle Bay), Jubilee Park and Glebe (just past the end). There's a ferry smack in the middle at Glebe that takes you to Barangaroo. 🦪 Do you see the oysters growing along the sea wall? Don't eat them. These have been installed to help clean the water. They're doing a great job. 🛶 The water is a popular spot for kayaking and rowing. Most kayakers enter at the sandy spot to the right of the 'Roselle Bay Pontoon'. The Glebe Rowing Club is for the rowers. This is a beautiful area of Sydney, so enjoy!

Great park! Skate/bike area is good, enclosed sandpit with water play, various slides and spider web frame to challenge todders. Double zip line with launching ramp. Another well designed park.

This is my favourite walking track in Sydney. The path along the water is beautiful, but the best part is the animals. It is basically a dog parade—so many cute dogs playing in the park! Bonus: Keep an eye on the water (near the fish markets side)—we saw a massive pelican just hanging out there. Great vibes, fresh air, and plenty of furry friends to watch.

Great to have nice walks 🚶‍♂️ great views of the harbour A fresh breath for a morning walk, jog, or just walking the dog . The scenery surrounding the blackwattle bay over looking the city is nice, therapeutic to start your day. The new redevelopment of the Sydney fish market has reached a new stage, the barriers are up keeping the Water out out! Now the real work starts
