Colombo Social

Visited Colombo Social and had a great experience. We started with the Beetroot Bhajis, which were really tasty. The Chicken Curry was full of flavour. We also tried the Mud Crab Kottu with a small portion of rice, and it was delicious. Everything we ordered was well cooked and packed with flavour.

Had a great meal at Colombo Social. Highlights were the crab kottu, king fish with chives, goat curry, and the corn ribs, all packed with flavour and well balanced. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully cooked, especially the crab kottu which really stood out. Next time, I’ll definitely be trying the soft shell crab

The Mog Champ sends his regards. Sri Lankan Cuisine feels like a niche in Sydney but Colombo Social was very accommodating in both their tastes and service! We ordered a few different things to try among our group of 4. Starting with the corn ribs and chicken wings with their mild spices on it - provides a small and delicious kick! We got two curries to share - a chicken and goat along a mixed sambol plate which anyone should get with their curries! Finishing with the desserts, the wattalappam was a bit too sweet for our tastes but we definitely did enjoy the Mango pannacotta. Thanks for the lunch, Colombo Social! Friendly, attentive service with a smile. Great flavoursome food. We went for the $45 curry night, great value and very filling. The only thing letting the evening down are the booth seats along the wall. They are way too high for someone to sit with the table height at your waist. My back was killing me less than half way through and I had to swap with my partner.

Such a delight to have dinner at the Colombo Social - a real foodie’s paradise! Combination of more traditional Sri Lankan food with creative applications and some surprises, this is a great experience. Staff are friendly and professional with deep knowledge of the menu. I loved this place and cannot wait to go back!
