King George Park is a simple, open grassed park with space for dogs to run off-leash. The layout is straightforward, with enough room for movement without feeling crowded.
It's located close to the water and a nearby dog-friendly beach, making it easy to combine time on the grass with a swim.
The sporting ground areas of King George Park are off-leash except during organised sporting games, training and events, when dogs must be on a leash. Dogs must be on a leash in the surrounding parkland including the Bay Run, within the fitness station area, and within 10 metres of the children's playground.
One of several dog friendly parks and beaches in the area
A little piece of paradise right in the city , with playground s picnic areas, lovely scenic walk ways (dog friendly) fishing and swimming places.
King George Park offers a balance of open grass areas and shaded spots. It’s a popular place for jogging, picnics, and weekend sports. The river adds a peaceful backdrop, especially in the early morning. Facilities like seating and bins are well maintained, though it could use more toilets. Families seem to enjoy the playground, and dog walkers frequent the paths. It’s not a large park, but it feels welcoming and well-kept for casual visits.
Great little park. Gym equipment, play area, lots of free parking and good clean toilets
Newly constructed park with many play equipment for children of all age. Fenced play area which is a plus. Has a sand pit, trampolines and zipline too. The views are amazing as it connects to Bay run. Were attacked by flies though at sunset time. Plenty of parking nearby and park has bbq facilities too
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
