The Yellow Deli

I’ve never been let down from this location great tasting food good service and the venue is absolutely fantastic. Last time I went. I even asked if they had any ginger tea on the menu. They said no but one of the servers sisters made a ginger tea and they got me a mug of it on the house. I can fully recommend this location.

The atmosphere and cafe concept are absolutely beautiful — it feels like a nostalgic journey into the charm of the old days. Mr David and the other staff who looked after us were incredibly kind and welcoming. The fact that the meat is halal was an added bonus for us. I also loved the relaxed pants worn by the female staff — if you sold them, I would have bought them instantly! 😊 I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be coming back again.

Expect a line, but don’t let it deter you … it’s well worth the wait. The menu is one of the most unique I’ve come across in ages and everything we tried was delicious. The warm sandwiches were a standout, and the bowl of chilli with jalapeño bread was perfect on a cold Blue Mountains day. If you love tea, this place is a dream, so many unique and enticing flavors and the mango milkshake was an absolute hit!!

Unique vibes in here. Really interesting selection of food and drinks. Super popular with big lines and for good reason, the food and atmosphere is unlike your usual cafe experience. Staff all seem closely connected. Coffee was great, will be back to try more of the food on offer.

From the moment I stepped into Yellow Deli, I felt like I’d wandered into a storybook—maybe even the Shire! 🧙♂️🍃 The charm is unreal: wooden beams, cozy nooks, soft lighting, and handcrafted details everywhere. I couldn’t stop taking photos! What makes this place even more special is the beautiful story behind it: Yellow Deli is run by a loving local community right here in Katoomba. You can feel the warmth and intention in everything they do—even the menu includes thoughtful Bible verses, which added such a peaceful and uplifting touch to our meal. 📖✨ The staff were unbelievably kind and patient—even when our group caused a little chaos by switching seats multiple times. 😅 They smiled through it all! Yes, the food took a bit longer than expected (I thought, “It’s just a sandwich, right?”)… but oh, was it worth the wait! The Brioche Beef Sandwich was honestly THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve ever eaten. Tender beef, soft brioche, perfect seasoning—pure heaven between two slices. 🥪💛 A truly magical experience from entrance to last bite. Can’t wait to return—with more friends (and more patience 😉). Highly recommend!
