What people say
Pretty cool dog friendly field with a view to the city and Bondi Beach. Park in Wentworth Ave for easy access. You can't see the oven as it's covered by foliage.
Huge park with no covered area. This is a huge park where you can get partial sea views. It looks great but it looks like the council does not want people to visit this place and facilities are lacking. I went there thinking I could get closer to water but the area is fenced. If you want to walk or run, then this place is for you. Else you should have a good reason to come here as there are plenty of other areas which offer glorious ocean views.
Hugh Bamford Reserve is in North Bondi bounded by steep sea cliffs to the east and Military Road to the west. The reserve has a half size playing field complemented by a carpark, community hall, grassed amphitheatre and lookout with spectacular views south towards Bondi and onto Malabar Headland and west toward the city and harbour. I didn't realise that there is other parts of this reserve. I found a small car park at the entrance. This part of the reserve is near the sewerage station. There was a large grassed area, but the smell from the sewerage station was very strong. Not worth putting up with the smell
My wandering didn’t go to waste when I reached the reserve. Stunning view of ocean from the top. The sound of ocean waves against the rocks and the cool breeze was really relaxing. Perfect for an evening walk to watch sunsets and capture amazing pictures🌅📸
Really great scenic spot that's also a park, high up enough that it's almost secluded, great place for an picnic or take the kids to throw a ball around. There's archery there too every Sunday, which is great fun and a safe activity, the archery has a booking system in place, just look them up under Bondi Archers or Sydney Archery, and that should do it.
