A great place to have a picnic/BBQ with all the amenities. Free BBQ facilities and plenty of undercover seating, a playground restrooms and showers. Cafes and restaurants across the road. There is a patrolled beach ⛱️ a swimming pool and a kids pool on low tide plus the bogey hole next to the pool. Must see 👀Bronte Beach & Park: Latest Construction & Closure Updates (December 2025) The two major disruption points at Bronte—the coastal walk repair and the Surf Club rebuild—are both active. Here is the latest information based on recent council and community updates: 1. North Side Coastal Walk (Cliff Collapse Remediation) The section of the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk above the August 2025 cliff collapse remains impacted, though the end of major works is in sight. Closure Status: The path section on the northern headland (Marks Park area) remains closed for safety while works are finalised. Diversions are in place to navigate around the immediate collapse zone. Progress: Stage 1 (Cliff Face Stabilisation): Completed at the end of June 2025. Stage 2 (Walkway Reconstruction): This stage, which involves installing the new stainless-steel balustrade and rebuilding the footpath, was delayed due to fabrication and delivery issues with the specialist materials. Expected Completion: Work was anticipated to be completed by 12 December 2025, weather permitting. Given today's date (mid-December), if the final installation has not been publicly announced as complete, minor finishing works or final safety checks are likely still taking place, and the path remains closed. Advice: Assume the northern headland section is closed and follow all signage until a formal announcement is made by Waverley Council confirming the full reopening. 2. Bronte Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) Redevelopment The major construction of the new, multi-million dollar facility is well underway. Status: Demolition of the old clubhouse and commencement of major construction (including seawall piling) are currently active. Impact on Park/Facilities: A large section of Bronte Park near the beach front is closed and fenced off to facilitate the construction site. Temporary facilities for public toilets, lifeguards, and the surf club are set up in the remaining open parkland (generally to the south of the construction zone). Project Timeline: The construction is officially underway, and the new facility is expected to be completed in April 2027. Key Takeaways for Your Visit Coastal Walk: Check the Waverley Council website for a final reopening announcement, but be prepared for a detour if walking the full Bondi to Coogee path. Park: Expect a significant reduction in open park space and construction noise around the main beach access point. Public amenities are still available in the temporary structures. Beach/Baths: The beach and the Bronte Baths remain open and accessible, though navigating the park area will require attention to construction barriers.
i like the smell of bbq 🤑
Coffee sunrise and a swim, doesn’t get better than our little Bronte style Oz beach vibe ;)
Great beach and beautiful park. Just not ideal on Boxing Day
Bronte is one of my favourite beaches in Sydney. The rockpool is the best one, and the Park close to the beach is so big
