2.5. Food is tasty but portions are very small, despite being advertised as sharing plates. The duck pancakes had a tiny amount of duck in them, which for 26 dollars you would not expect. Ribs were nice

Absolutely love Van Espresso Bar! One of my favourite places to eat in Sydney by far. The food was incredible - loved the John Dory Curry and Sashimi. The wine selection was fantastic and the service was 10/10. Will absolutely be back!

Such a creative menu and friendly team. The owners are such beautiful people who operate with care, love and ingenuity when it comes to flavour. The atmosphere is tasteful and classy while remaining warm and inviting. Standouts on the menu are the fish curry and the Asian bolognaise. The oysters are to die for and you must order dessert - the black rice pudding and the banana fritters are a dream. Thank-you Van for such a special night and a gorgeous sensory experience. Will definitely be back!

This is a must try in the Eastern Suburbs. This little restaurant is impeccable. From the service, the ambience and THE FOOD! The flavours are delicious. Asian fusion at its best. My favourites are the John Dory curry and the spicy eggplant. You must try a cocktail. The margarita is one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly balanced. Be warned you might have a second or a third (sorry it was too good I didn’t get a photo). Oh and dessert. I just tried the new banana fritters. Nice and crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside with burnt honeycomb. Yum! Can’t wait to come back!

Vans is a great local restaurant with a chilled vibe, friendly staff and outstanding food. Really interest cross section of Asian and European cuisine! The dumplings were amazing: could just eat those! The steamed fish was perfect and side greens perfectly cooked! The wine list is special and the owner passionate about the selection! Great night! Thank you!
