The Irish Way is a cafe in Randwick. It hasn't yet been confirmed as dog-friendly, so it's best to check with the venue before visiting.
The place is easy to find, has street parking, near a mall, opposite a beautiful park and bus stop. Has a few tables outside and inside. Staff are lovely and friendly. They offer table service and takeaways. Menu is varied and has some very good options. Some of the nicest food and drinks we've ever had. The drinks also came with free little Brownie bites which we really loved. Dogs are allowed outside. Food portions and prices were very reasonable. The food itself was a little lukewarm but it wasn't that bad. Would seriously reccomend.
Fabulous breakfast and service! The hash brown stack is divine and the bacon is the best I’ve had in years. Really enjoyed the tea and the mini brownies on the side were a delicious touch. Excellent value 💫
Came here for breakfast yesterday, the service was really friendly and welcoming. The soda bread was freshly baked. I really enjoyed the breakfast, a real taste from home… especially the fried potatoes!
I came here for the first time with a friend to try it out. Being an Irish place in Randwick, it is always going to have a certain guaranteed level of business. I had heard mixed reviews so was interested to try it. First off, the coffee was good, but everywhere needs to be such is the quality level of coffee in AU. I ordered the Açaí bowl and he ordered a sourdough and jam. The staff were ok and probably pretty busy but the wait was extremely long, and when we received the food, it was presented so simply, with minimal effort, that I made me wonder how it took so long. I unfortunately didn’t take a picture of the açaí, but it was one big lump of frozen açaí with granola, and the fruits were an extra charge and served in a side bowl. (A bit unusual but ok). The açaí was really fresh and tasty (including fruits, which you really need to include to have a proper açaí bowl). It is a weird presentation but it was a nice serving and tasty. My friend could not eat the sourdough as it was almost uncooked and still in dough form. He informed the staff member and she took it off the bill. I probably will go back as the coffee was decent and same for the açaí dish. However, service seemed a bit all over the place and the staff didn’t seem to be very well trained in customer service, though they were reasonably nice to us. The overall presentation of dishes could probably benefit from a bit more thought or creativity.
Went to Irish Way a few times recently, and it's always a solid - there's so many options on both the breakfast and the lunch menu. On Saturday, I tried the Christmas loaded chips special and will be going back again just for it! The food is good value, and the soup in particular is always top notch. The sausages are also 10/10 in terms of taste compared to back home in Ireland! The coffee is also great as it's the Barry's tea!
