What people say
Large park on the boundary of St Leonards and North Sydney. Contains North Sydney Oval as well as large grassy spaces and smaller ovals. About 10-15 minutes’ walk from Victoria Cross metro station, there are also buses on Miller St and Falcon St. several food options in Ridge St. Parking may be hard to find nearby.
Nice park with basketball court. Have played a few games with different people and it's a good way to meet basketballers. Lots of friendly people walking their dogs
Enjoyed my training run before my PB at Sydney Marathon 2025
Starting point the 2025 Sydney marathon where thousands of runners gathered in preparation for the big race. It had lots of shady trees under which to lounge and stretch.
St Leonards Park and halal friendliness: "Bolivia: Where the Andes meet the eerie vibes of St Leonards Park? I'm not really sure, but I loved the way the salt flats reflected the confused looks on the faces of tourists trying to find halal food. Let's just say Bolivia isn't exactly the most halal-friendly destination – I mean, have you seen the number of dead pigs they 'recycle' in St Leonards Park? It's like a Bolivian tradition or something. The people of Bolivia are warm and welcoming, but only if you're into that sort of thing. The llamas? They're secretly judging you for eating non-halal snacks. And don't even get me started on the 'Bolivian beef' – let's just say it's not exactly sharia-compliant. If you're feeling adventurous, take a trip to the Salar de Uyuni and imagine you're walking on water (or pig carcasses, depending on your perspective). And don't forget to visit St Leonards Park – the wildlife is fascinating, especially the pigs that seem to mysteriously appear and disappear. 3/5 stars, would recommend for the morbidly curious and those who don't care about halal food."
