Grasmere Childrens Playground is a dog-friendly park in Crows Nest with plenty of shade. Just 400m away, Bourke Street Bakery Neutral Bay is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.

Dog rules

North Sydney is a dog-friendly area and all Council parks and public reserves are off-leash areas, except for bushland areas, playing fields when organised sporting events are in progress, and venues where dogs are not allowed. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. (Source: North Sydney Council — northsydney.nsw.gov.au)

Not too big, not too small, just enough for children to play for a short time. Although the playground has safelocks & a sign that dogs are not allowed 10m around the place, another signage saying unleash dogs are permitted if with the owner is nearby. I could see a huge dog unleashed on the grass side of the playground and I just thought there are lots of small toddlers coming to this place and anything can happen- would’ve been better if they have separated the playground & the grass area for dogs or at least some rules for keeping the leash on.

Cute playground but there isn’t a public toilet so it loses a couple of points. My toddler had fun playing here but is toilet training so we needed access to a toilet. Not a big park so best for young children. A highlight for my child was the trampoline

I took my 2year old grandson there. He really enjoyed the 3 slides, including a bendy one. There are 2 low bridges that are so good for balance etc. The mushroom stools are a hit, as we pretended to have morning tea. It's reasonably shaded in the morning before 11am. Very clean. Will visit again.

Lovely park. Great fun for all ages. Spacious field out back and the equipment is very interesting and fun.

Great park designed with toddlers in mind. All the equipment is easily used by children old enough to climb up stairs. Three types of slides , interesting balance beams and spinning capsule are the highlights for my daughter.
