Balmoral Beach is a calm, sheltered harbour beach in Mosman. Dogs are not permitted on the sand or in the swimming enclosure, but you can walk your dog on-leash along the grassed foreshore reserve and promenade. Mosman's designated off-leash areas are elsewhere — Sirius Cove, Spit West, Spit East and Clifton Gardens Reserves.

Dogs are prohibited on Balmoral Beach and within the swimming enclosure. Dogs are permitted on-leash on the grassed foreshore reserve and promenade only, and must be under effective control at all times. Mosman Council's designated off-leash areas are Sirius Cove Reserve, Spit West Reserve, Spit East Reserve and Clifton Gardens Reserve. Check on-site signage for current restrictions.

Lovely beach. Lots of boats nearby so query water pollution. Has a shark net swimming area. Only down side is the parking is all paid close by

Wonderful day out for families or take a book, relax and read, walk along the esplanade. Lots of options. Lovely beach areas not over crowded when I went, (it was during school holidays). Nice cafe and restaurants. Good clean toilet and shower facilities.

With the best fish and chips in Sydney, you have a nice beach safe for kids to swim since all the sides are protected with net, with decks families can even go for fishing!
