Kids had a great time here! We couldn't stay long because it was a bit spur of the moment which meant no towel, swim suits etc. The sand was pristine and there was a surf life saving unit on-site to keep an eye on swimmers. Waves looked great for body boarding and surfing. Not sure if it had a rip so wouldn't jump in if not at least reasonably confident in swimming ability. The SLSC had a restaurant and getting down to the beach was easy with a ramp
A Charming Coastal Escape where i live 😍🙏🏼 Elouera Beach in Cronulla is a delightful blend of surf-friendly waves, family-safe swimming, and laid-back beachside charm. Here’s why it deserves a spot on your NSW South Coast stuff . The southern end offers a gentle, peeling right-hander that’s perfect for beginners and intermediates alike. On calmer days, the middle section creates soft rolling waves ideal for bodyboarding or learning to surf. Lifeguards monitor the flagged area during peak season, so families and novice swimmers can feel completely at ease paddling in the clear, waist-deep water. Just steps from the sand you’ll find clean toilets, hot outdoor showers, and sheltered picnic tables under mature eucalyptus trees. There’s also a grassy reserve with barbecue stations—ideal for afternoon cook-ups. A wide promenade makes stroller and wheelchair access straightforward, and street parking is plentiful (with the train station only a short walk away). Elouera is the perfect launching point for the Cronulla to Wattamolla track. Head north toward Cronulla Beach for vibrant café culture, or wander south to discover secluded coves and rugged headlands. From the beachfront you can glimpse Bundeena across Port Hacking, and on clear days the Royal National Park’s verdant cliffs provide a stunning backdrop. Surf Life Saving Club Café: Grab a flat white or a takeaway fish-and-chip combo from the Elouera Surf Life Saving Club’s café. It’s the ideal spot to refuel while keeping an eye on the surf. Weekends here have a friendly, community-driven feel—kids building sandcastles, surfers catching last light, and locals greeting each other by name. Whether you’re chasing your first wave, enjoying a safe family swim, or simply soaking up the coastal breeze with a good book, Elouera Beach (Cronulla) delivers every time. Clean facilities, reliable surf, and that welcoming beachside atmosphere make it a true gem of the Sutherland Shire. Highly recommended!
Good place to surf and maybe swing, water bit cold
Peaceful surf beach with lovely views.
This beach is beautiful spot for walking during the lockdown. It’s the most quiet area in comparison to the other part of Cronulla beach.
